Our Love Story

How It All Began

2019

The First Meeting

We first crossed paths at a small gallery opening in Florence. James was admiring a painting; Sofia was the artist. One glance was all it took to begin this wonderful journey.

2020

The First Adventure

Lockdown couldn't keep us apart. Late-night video calls turned into morning walks, sharing dreams, laughter, and the simple beauty of being present with each other.

2022

Moving In Together

We found our perfect little apartment in Rome, with a terrace overlooking the rooftops. Every corner became a canvas for our shared life and growing love.

2024

The Proposal

On a quiet evening at their favourite hilltop vineyard, James got down on one knee with Sofia's grandmother's ring. She said yes before he could finish the question.

Frequently Asked Questions

Doors open at 3:00 PM for a welcome aperitivo. The ceremony begins promptly at 4:00 PM, so we ask all guests to be seated by 3:50 PM. There is ample parking on-site or you can use the shuttle from Hotel Palazzo Siena.

Children are warmly welcome at our wedding. A dedicated kids' table with activities and early dinner will be arranged. Please indicate the number of children and ages in your RSVP so we can prepare accordingly.

Garden Formal means elegant and polished but with a relaxed, natural feel. For ladies: midi or maxi dresses, elegant separates in earthy tones, sage, blush, sand or stone. For gentlemen: linen suits or smart trousers with a shirt. Please avoid bright white, ivory, or jet black. The venue is outdoor and on grass, so we'd suggest avoiding stiletto heels.

Yes, free parking is available at Villa Bellamore. If you plan to enjoy our open bar, we strongly encourage you to use our complimentary shuttle service running to and from Hotel Palazzo Siena in Siena city centre.

We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony — please keep phones away during the vows so you can be fully present with us. Our professional photographer will capture every magical moment and photos will be shared with all guests after the wedding. Feel free to snap away at the reception!
