Autumn 2021
The Greenhouse Meeting
We both ducked into the same greenhouse during a sudden London rainstorm. James was sketching the ironwork; Olivia was drawing a rare orchid. A shared bench, a shared laugh about the weather, and a coffee at the garden café that lasted three hours.
Spring 2023
The Cotswolds Trip
Our first proper holiday together — a cottage in the Cotswolds with a wildflower garden. We spent the days exploring hidden paths and the evenings cooking together. By the end of that week, we both knew this was something extraordinary.
Winter 2025
The Proposal
During the winter lantern festival at Kew, among thousands of twinkling lights and the scent of pine, James got down on one knee beside the lake. Olivia cried happy tears and said yes before the question was fully out.
