How it works

Three quick steps

1

Pick a moment

Filter by ceremony, bride entrance, first dance, reception or party. Each section is curated for what works at that point in the day.

2

Listen and shortlist

Tap any song to play it. Add the ones you love to your playlist — it stays saved in this browser.

3

Use it in your invitation

Click "Use in invitation" on any song. We carry it straight into your digital invitation as background music — no copy-pasting links.

How to choose the music for your wedding (every moment)

The soundtrack of your wedding ties everything together: the entrance, the vows, the kiss, the first dance, the cake, the dance floor at 2 a.m. Every section below is dedicated to one of those moments — what to look for, what to avoid, and a hand-picked list you can play above. Mix Spanish, English, Latin and instrumental as the night demands; that's how a real wedding sounds.

Wedding ceremony songs

The ceremony is the calm centre of the day. Music here should support the emotion in the room, not compete with it: instrumentals or vocal tracks with a slow, deliberate tempo work best. Pachelbel's Canon and Schubert's Ave Maria are classics for a reason — but a modern instrumental cover or a stripped-back acoustic version of a song that means something to you can be just as powerful.

Bride and partner entrance songs

The walk down the aisle deserves a song that lifts the room without overshadowing the moment. In Spain, songs by David Bisbal, Pablo Alborán and Sebastián Yatra dominate this section — heartfelt, melodic, instantly recognisable. If you want a more cinematic mood, a string-quartet version of a contemporary hit (think A Thousand Years or Halo) is a safe, beautiful choice.

First dance wedding songs

Pick a song that's yours, not just a famous wedding song. Length matters — 2:30 to 3:30 is the sweet spot for a couple who isn't professionally choreographing the dance. The classics here (Perfect, At Last, All of Me) work for a reason; the fresher options give you a song nobody else will use that year.

  1. Can't Help Falling in Love · Elvis Presley
  2. Thinking Out Loud · Ed Sheeran
  3. Unforgettable · Nat King Cole
  4. The Way You Look Tonight · Frank Sinatra
  5. Perfect · Ed Sheeran

  12. I Get To Love You · Ruelle
  13. You Are The Reason · Calum Scott
  14. From The Ground Up · Dan + Shay
  15. Contigo Aprendí · Armando Manzanero
  16. Marry Me · Train
  17. You're Beautiful · James Blunt
  18. All For Love · Rod Stewart

Reception and dinner songs

The reception is the longest stretch of the night. Energy should rise gradually — start with sing-along tracks while guests sit down (Hombres G, Pereza, Mecano in Spain), then build into more rhythmic territory (reggaetón light, Bad Bunny, Rosalía) as plates clear. Save the all-out party tracks for the dance floor.

  1. Better Together · Jack Johnson
  2. La Vie en Rose · Edith Piaf
  3. Marry You · Bruno Mars
  4. El Danubio Azul · Johann Strauss
  5. Ni tú ni nadie · Alaska y Dinarama

  12. Cuando me siento bien · Efecto Pasillo
  13. Formentera · Aitana, Nicki Nicole
  14. Despacito · Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee
  15. Nochentera · Vicco
  16. Princesas · Pereza
  17. Aeropuerto · Camilo
  18. Colgando en tus manos · Carlos Baute, Marta Sánchez

Exit, after-party and dance-floor songs

This is where the playlist earns its keep. Ear-worms, sing-alongs, and one or two unexpected curveballs (a Spanish 80s hit, a sentimental ballad at 3 a.m.) are what guests remember. Don't overthink it — the dance floor wants familiarity.

  1. You Are the Best Thing · Ray LaMontagne
  2. This Will Be Our Year · The Zombies
  3. Marry You · Bruno Mars
  4. El Danubio Azul · Johann Strauss
  5. Todo de ti · Rauw Alejandro

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are these songs free to listen to?
Yes. Every song streams from YouTube — completely free, no signup, no Premium account needed. Spotify links are also provided so you can save songs to a Spotify playlist if you prefer.
Can I use these songs at my wedding?
Public performance of recorded music at a private wedding is generally covered by the licence your venue or DJ holds (e.g. SGAE in Spain). Check with your venue and your DJ — they almost always have it sorted. The selection here is curated for inspiration; the legal side is between you, the venue and the rights organisation.
How do I add a song to my digital invitation?
Click "Use in invitation" on any song. The song is carried over as background music in your Yeslovey invitation — guests hear it when they open the envelope. You can change or remove it at any time from the invitation editor.
Can I send my playlist to my DJ?
Yes — open your playlist (the floating button bottom-right) and click "Copy as text". Paste it straight into a message to your DJ. They'll know how to handle the rest.
Why are some songs in different languages?
A real Spanish wedding mixes Spanish, English, Latin and sometimes instrumental tracks across the night. Use the language filter to focus the list, or leave it on "All" to see every option for that moment.
Where do these recommendations come from?
They're hand-curated from authoritative wedding-music sources (Bodas.net's 100 Spanish wedding songs, The Knot, plus the curated shortlist already used inside Yeslovey invitations) — not auto-generated. Each song is tagged with the moment its source recommends.
